The CLLD Strategy of the LAG Tundzha-Sliven - Tundzha Valley for the period 2023 - 2027 has an intervention area of the territory of the Tundzha Municipality, Yambol District and part of the territory of the Sliven Municipality, Sliven District, including the villages of Krushare, Chokoba and Bozadzhii, NUTS 2 region - South-East planning region. The area of the territory covered by the LAG is 1287.82 sq. km. The territory includes 47 settlements with a population of 25,665 inhabitants as of 31.12.2020. The aspiration of the local communities from the territory of the LAG is, through the CLLD Strategy, to improve the quality of life, create new economic opportunities and fight poverty, social isolation and negative demographic processes. The expected impact is supported by 5 investment measures financed by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development, under which beneficiaries can submit their projects. As an additional opportunity for impact on the territory, the support of complementary financing will be used in accordance with Council of Ministers No. 494 of 30.12.2024. The CLLD Strategy seeks both development and growth. Development means qualitative changes, and growth - quantitative growth. The Strategy aims to achieve the effect of concentrating support on interventions that have the greatest added value in terms of overcoming the economic and social problems in the development of the territory, which are subject to the logic of the CLLD approach and follow the policies at national, regional and local level. Through the CLLD approach and the participation of the local community, the CLLD Strategy contributes to the integrated implementation of cohesion policies, by relying on measures with a territorial effect, aimed at economic activation, social inclusion and sustainable management of resources. The total financial resource of the CLLD Strategy of the LAG Tundzha-Sliven-Tundzha Valley LAG for the period 2023 - 2027 amounts to 5,867,400.00 leva.
