Nikolay Kalinov Mihov (39 years old) is registered as an agricultural producer with the Sofia Regional Directorate of Agriculture since 22 August 2018 as well as with the National Revenue Agency since 4 June 2018. On his farm, located across the villages of Debnevo and Vrabebo in the municipality of Troyan and the region of Lovech, the candidate grows perennial corps including 16,916 decares of plums and 4,999 decares of raspberries. The property, with a total area of 21,9155 decares, includes owned as well as rented land for a period of 10 years (till 2028). According to the official opinion of the Regional Inspectorate for Environment and Water (RIEW) in Pleven, part of the farm falls within the boundaries of protected areas, and the orchards are certified for organic produce.
The farm's net worth, as it stands on the date of the project proposal's submission, is 11 969,37 EUR / 23 410,05 BNG standard production volume (SPV). With the development of the existing young plantations, there's an expectancy for significant growth over the next 5 years.
At this stage, the company doesn't own any motorised machinery so all farm work has to be done manually.
In a dynamic economic environment with ever-growing standards of quality, one of the company's top priorities is investing in technological innovation in order to optimize efficiency and increase productivity.
The proposed project is aimed at buying motorized farming machinery (tractor) with supporting equipment (cutter and sprayer).
Mechanizing the main production processes like tillage and the treatment of perennials will optimize production costs while improving work conditions and the company's ability to compete in the market.
