Tourism is a branch of increasing importance for the municipality of Stambolovo.The region has great potential for tourism development, but a relatively small part of it has been used.The favorable climate, clean nature and unique flora and fauna are key factors serving the opportunities for tourism development. Another prerequisite is the rich cultural-historical and archaeological heritage.The area is rich in archaeological monuments of culture from all eras.Thracian monuments from the pre-Roman and Roman era and old Bulgarian settlements and necropolises predominate.The region has wonderful opportunities for the development of rural tourism, ecotourism, cultural tourism, and hunting tourism. The relatively favorable geographical location of the municipality also plays an important role in the development of tourism.Through the third-class Stambolovo-Haskovo road and the E80 road, it connects with the capital, with the checkpoint, with Greece and with Turkey, which are potential sources of tourist demand.Although the potential for the development of a diverse tourist offer in the municipality is significant, given the concentration of natural and cultural resources, it is still necessary to work towards the improvement and improvement of the tourist infrastructure in order to increase the interest and satisfaction of visitors and tourists.One of the main problems that needs to be resolved is the lack of well-marked and signposted eco-trails, as the existing ones are not regularly maintained, which worsens the overall tourism-supporting public infrastructure in the municipality.In this regard, the current project proposal provides for construction and assembly works for the identification of the eco-path, development of a mobile application, as well as all accompanying costs, including: costs for preparing a technical project, costs for author and construction supervision, project preparation and management costs.
