The project proposal of the Municipality of Dolna Mitropolia includes activities to replace bus stops for public transport on the territory of the town of Dolna Mitropolia. The currently existing facilities are extremely old, depreciated and do not provide an adequate service to people using public transport. In most places, temporary structures, consisting of metal gazebos, have been placed to shelter passengers waiting for transport. All the stops are broken, rusted, rotted, and dangerous for passengers.
The project proposal envisages the purchase of new facilities - bus stops to be installed at five locations in Dolna Mitropolia used by the public carrier for stops that meet all quality and efficiency standards, namely: 1 bus stop on a sidewalk area adjacent to St. St. Cyril and Methodius" /between RP 100, RP 90 and RP 109/; 1 number of bus stops on the pavement area adjacent to "Hristo Botev" street /between RP 79 and RP 67/, 2 number of bus stops on the pavement area adjacent to "Georgi Kochev" street /between RP 90 and RP 91/ and 1 number of bus stops on a sidewalk area adjacent to "Ilio Voivoda" street /between RP 127 and RP 128/. Through the implementation of the project idea, first of all, the quality of the transport service provided to the population will be improved, but also the physical environment and public infrastructure in the settlement will be enhanced, and the living conditions of the population will be improved.
The activities included in the project proposal correspond to the following eligible activities according to the application conditions:
1. Construction, reconstruction, and/or rehabilitation of new and existing streets and sidewalks, and their facilities and accessories - stops for mass urban transport will be installed.
