Krasimir Kehayov is a candidate for assistance under sub-measure 6.1 "Start-up assistance for young farmers". He develops agricultural activity from the fall of 2022, which is entirely focused on raising bee families for the purpose of honey extraction. At the moment, and according to an up-to-date questionnaire, it breeds 120 bee colonies. The economic size of the agricultural holding is 8773.77 euros. The apiary is located on the land of the village of Chervena Voda, Ruse Municipality, Ruse Region and is on land owned by the applicant. In order to ease the manual labor in the farm, improve the quality of the harvested produce and comply with the food quality requirements, and modernize the overall activity, beekeeping equipment will be purchased, namely a screw press for wax prints. He will continue to raise the bee colonies and increase their number mainly through his own breeding activity, and if necessary, he will also purchase bees. At this stage, the beekeeper will continue to raise the bee colonies conventionally. It is planned that their number will be increased by 60, so by the year of inspection no less than 180 bee colonies will be kept in the apiary. The economic size of the agricultural holding will be increased by a minimum of 4000 SPO. The farmer chose July 1, 2024 as the deadline for submitting a request for a second payment. The candidate Krasimir Kehaiov intends to make an investment in the purchase of a beehive monitoring system, which will optimize the work in the apiary. By the year of verification, will have completed a minimum 150-hour course in agriculture, and will have participated in a course involving training on major environmental issues in the agricultural sector, or will have participated in outreach activities related to these issues.
