The project envisages the purchase of two pipe-roller systems with automation and two diesel pumping units, intended to improve irrigation within the farm. Areas intended for irrigation are located in the land of the village of Dragovishtitsa, municipality of Kyustendil, region of Kyustendil. The irrigation system has a productivity consistent with the requirements of the main crops grown in the country and in particular in this agro-ecological region. The water source will be the waters from an existing network managed by "Irrigation Systems" EAD, Struma-Mesta Branch. Water abstraction will be carried out from the Dragovishti gravity irrigation canal. The main water source is the Dragovishtitsa River from the Bulgarian-Serbian border to its confluence with the Struma River with Water Body Code BG4ST700R019 from the River Basin Management Plan in the "West Aegean Region" Basin Directorate, which is assessed as having a moderate ecological status. The selected method of irrigation is by sprinkling. The crops planned for irrigation are potatoes (medium early field production), and the irrigation system is planned to provide an area of 186.9 decares. Given the need to implement crop rotation, it is planned that the potatoes will be planted on different arrays within the lands of the villages of Dragovishtitsa, Razdavica and Shishkovtsi, which also fall within the irrigation areas. fields of "Irrigation Systems" EAD - Struma-Mesta branch, as evident from the presented contracts with "Irrigation Systems" EAD from the previous few years. Therefore, mobile equipment has been selected that can be used in the different arrays.The engineering design attached to the project proposal was developed for only one of the fields to illustrate the layout and functioning of the system, but the principle of operation is the same for the other fields.
