Algae Bulgaria OOD is the only company in Bulgaria that has created sustainable conditions for the cultivation of spirulina and offers a final processed product of fresh spirulina for the market, which is used as a dietary supplement and superfood. The current project proposal aims to increase the types of processing and packaging of spirulina in a facility for processing and packaging food supplements in the village of Zimnitsa, mun. Maglizh.

The company aims to meet the following selection criteria:
- preserves existing full-time jobs;
- applies methods reducing the negative impact on the environment, including the treatment of waste by acquiring separate containers for waste collection, which will collect 100% of the waste product;
- makes an investment to ensure a safe working environment and improve working conditions through safety training when working with the new machines and purchase of social benefits for the workers - sports facilities
- processes its own aquaculture - 100% of the raw material for the final product according to the current project proposal;
- processes a species with good market potential according to the current marketing report under the procedure;

With the implementation of the activities under the project proposal for increasing the types of processing and packaging in an existing site for processing and packaging food supplements, the company aims to reach 70 items according to the Selection Criteria.
