Investments under the project proposal include an automated watermelon processing line, an innovative sterilizing freezer, specialized software and a wastewater recovery line, including the following finished products - formed frozen watermelon and watermelon juice.
The proposal applies for financial support under Sub-measure 4.2 "Investments in processing / marketing of agricultural products" under the Rural Development Program (RDP) for the period 2014-2020, supported by the European Agricultural Fund and corresponds to the main objective of the measure - establishing of the enterprises from the processing industry, introduction of new technologies, increase of the capacities for production.
The project proposal is cost-effective, an investment has been made in the eligible sector "Fruits and vegetables, including mushrooms". The products are included in Annex №1 under Article 32 of the EC Treaty.
The intention of "Interkika" Ltd. is to produce its own quality products, using its own gardens and the introduction of new technologies in order to achieve competitiveness of the company.
