Description

The project proposal presents the intentions for investments of the "Silvia Milkova" Public Health Fund in the construction of a new apiary.
The apiary will be located in the village of Iseglyi, Asenovgrad Municipality, Plovdiv region. The bee farm will be out of the settlement and will be located in an area of orchards and crops that provide nectar and pollen from spring to autumn i.e. there are natural conditions for the development of industrial beekeeping.
The development of industrial beekeeping also implies industrial production of beeswax, pollen and bee clay (propolis). These products, while complementing the production of honey, will be important for shaping economic performance. In a more distant perspective, after strengthening the holding, production of royal milk can also be envisaged.
In the presence of rich honey vegetation (as in this case) from an apiary located in a permanent place, an average yield of 20 - 45 kg can be produced. and in years when natural conditions are particularly good and significantly more. . At the same time, this number of bee families, located in a permanent place, creates optimal conditions for the recovery of the next from nature.
