SUBJECT: IRRIGATION SYSTEM FOR RAIN IRRIGATION OF CORN, IN
THE LAND OF MALO KONARE VILLAGE, PAZARDZIK MUNICIPALITY, PAZARDZIK DISTRICT

A good practice is introduced for the irrigation of the cultivated crop - corn in the agricultural lands,
used and processed by the company "BRANDAGRO" EOOD, using an appropriate
water-saving irrigation technology, technique and modes of irrigation, organization and
management of the irrigation process, consistent with modern approaches and principles of
management and protection of water and other components of the environment, according to
national and European requirements in this area.
The agricultural lands sown with corn are separated into one irrigated field with an area of
843.9 dka and are located north of the village. Malo Konare, Pazardzhik municipality, district
Pazardzhik. The area is distributed as follows:
1. Pivot 1 R=320-420m (P1) – 406.2 dka.
2. Pivot 2 R=310-410m (P2) – 437.7 dka.
The considered areas are part of an irrigation system belonging to "Irrigation Systems" EAD
Topolnitsa branch. The water will be delivered via GNK "Aleko Potoka", NK "R-5 Malo Konare" (and
both owned by "Irrigation Systems" EAD) and an internal canal network reaching up to
irrigated areas. Surface water body BG3MA700R149 "Luda ​​Yana River from the confluence of
Strelchanska Luda Yana to the mouth". Condition: poor ecological potential and good chemical
condition.
