Description

The agricultural producer Alexander Sofkov has been engaged in agricultural activity for more than 36 months without interruption. The applicant has an implemented project under sub-measure 4.1 for the establishment of a modern highly productive sheep farm for breeding 1120 ewes in the area of the village of Lucky, Hadjidimovo municipality, Blagoevgrad district. The agricultural producer Alexander Sofkov has a registered and meeting all requirements livestock farm for sheep dairy breed Asaf.
The current project aims tomodernize the sheep farm by introducing some innovative practices for the farm such as:
- Automated scraper system for small ruminants - an investment that is related to the cleaning of manure and creating favorable living conditions for sheep.
- In the context of protection of environmental components is another essential part of the investment project of Alexander Sofkov, namely: The construction of an autonomous photovoltaic installation for electricity production with a total installed capacity of 30kWp.
- Raised plastic floor, consisting of tiles 60x40 and vertical beams - will be installed inside the stables for breeding animals;
- Perhaps the most innovative and automated part of the project is the construction and implementation in the farm of an installation for the production of green succulent fodder. The most natural fodder for sheep is the green grass of the pasture. Unfortunately, it is not available all year round. In Bulgaria there is a lack of adequate quality feed for small and medium farms, the price of good quality corn silage is high for them. The installation envisaged is an innovative method for year-round production of succulent green fodder, which can be used to feed its own animals all year round. It reduces the cost of feeding the herd, labor, produces high quality feed, 1 kg of which is equal in nutritional value to 3 kg of alfalfa. up to 50%, improves the health and reproductive status of animals.
