Technical infrastructure is a major factor in providing basic services to the population in cities and in villages and ensuring access to them. Its deteriorated quality has a negative impact on both the standard of living and the competitiveness of rural municipalities.
The purpose of improving this type of infrastructure is to restore amortized and damaged by natural phenomena (floods, hailstorms, etc.) streets and facilities, to improve living conditions, convenience and traffic safety for the population of Stambolovo municipality. The poor condition of part of the road network serving rural areas increases costs for existing businesses and reduces incentives for investment. It also hampers residents' daily commutes, leading to a reduction in intra-territorial labor mobility and access to services.
In this regard, the opportunity provided by the Strategy for community-led local development of the SNC "MIG Stambolovo - Kardzhali 54" through measure 7.2. for construction, reconstruction and/or rehabilitation of new and existing streets, sidewalks, and the facilities and accessories thereto. The inclusion of a complex of measures, respectively measures to improve the technical infrastructure for small settlements, is also a prerequisite for the development of rural areas and their ability to retain the population and attract investments in these areas.
The necessary costs for the implementation of the current project proposal are related to the reconstruction of a street in the village of Dolno Botevo, municipality of Stambolovo. A completely new surface for "light" traffic is planned. New curbs will be laid everywhere to limit the new construction being built. Drainage will be superficial. New horizontal markings and vertical signage will be installed on the repaired street.
