The subject of the current project is the introduction of good practice for corn irrigation by sprinkling with a pivot installation, in the agricultural lands used and cultivated by "AGRIVITA" EOOD, using appropriate water-saving irrigation technology.
The agricultural lands that will be irrigated are separated into one irrigated field with a total area of ​​219.8 dka. located in the village Trastenik, Ivanovo Municipality, Ruse Region.
The areas under consideration were part of an existing gravity irrigation system.
The newly designed irrigation system consists of a number of submersible el. pump installed in a borehole (permit 11520383/24.09.2021), autonomous photovoltaic power plant, existing prefabricated water tank, existing irrigation pump, existing HDPE pipeline pusher and pivot installation.
The irrigation pivot installation consists of the following elements: 5-9/16" reinforced steel construction, galvanized; Vision 30 control panel & end spreader; irrigated area 21.98 ha; irrigated sector 200º
The pump for feeding the pivot installation installed in the drilling well has the following characteristics: Flow rate Q = 20.8 l/s = 75.0 m3/h;; Head H = 240 m = 24.0 bar; Power P = 83 kW
The automated pumping system includes - frequency regulator for pumping unit 83 kW; pressure sensor 4-20 mA; set 200 m. cables – power cable and cable with level sensors.
For electricity powering the pumping station at the well, which feeds the pivot, which saves water, it is envisaged to use an autonomous photovoltaic plant, located on the roof of a building in the Property, in which the well and the pumping station are located.
The autonomous photovoltaic plant has an installed capacity of 86.40kWh. The photovoltaic system with batteries is made up of 180 photovoltaic modules, 1 unit of 100 kW three-phase hybrid inverter /limited by software to the power of the plant at 86.40kW/ and 1 unit of battery system with a capacity of 128, 70 kwh.
