The temple "Holy Prophet Elijah" was built in 1895. in the town of Chirpan. It is located in Regulated Land III, quarter 103, designated as a park and church according to the plan of the town of Chirpan (the former cemetery park of the town) or PI with id.№ 81414.501.141 under KK. The church is a single-nave building with walls of stone masonry with a thickness of 90 cm, without a narthex and a bell tower, with external dimensions of 16.80 m by 8.00 m.
The current restoration project covers only the architectural and construction activities on the building and the surrounding area. It is planned to repair the roof - remove the Marseille tiles and implement a new wooden roof structure with a slope of 1: 3 with wooden ribs, cladding, waterproofing, battens, slats and coating of modern tiles, imitating single-gutter ones. Gutters and gutters made of plasticized sheet metal will be installed. It is planned to clean and prefuge the stone masonry on the facades. The compromised sections of the brick cornice are cleaned and repaired and the same is plastered according to the original pattern.
The walled window openings on the north and on the apse are being restored. On all window openings, wooden joinery with double glazing will be installed according to the sample of the existing remains of the old wooden joinery preserved on the walled openings. Metal doors from the west and south are being replaced by solid oak ones. The metal bars on the windows will also be restored.
The interior envisages the construction of a new internal plaster with added fibers, on a chain-link or reinforcing fiberglass mesh, under which a new electrical installation will be laid.
The floor will be paved with rectangular stone slabs of Vratsa limestone. Around the church will also be paved alleys of irregular stone slabs. A new writing of the temple is also planned.

ВЪЗСТАНОВЯВАНЕ И РЕМОНТ НА ХРАМ "СВЕТО ВЪЗНЕСЕНИЕ ГОСПОДНЕ" И ДЕЙСТВИЯ ПО ВЕРТИКАЛНА ПЛАНИРОВКА И ПОДОБРЯВАНЕ НА ПРИЛЕЖАЩИТЕ ПРОСТРАНСТВА: Настоящият проект за реставрация обхваща само архитектурно-сторителните дейности по сградата и околното пространство. Предвижда се ремонт на покрива - премахване на марсилските керемиди и изпълнение на нова дървена покривна конструкция с наклон 1:3 с дървени ребра, обшивка, хидроизолация, контралетви, летви и покритие от съвремени керемиди, имитиращи едноулучни такива. Ще се поставят улуци и водосточни тръби от пластифицирана ламарина. Предвижда се почистване и префугиране на каменната зидария по фасадите. Почистват се и се ремонтират компрометираните участъци на тухления корниз и същият се измазва по образец на оригиналния.
Зазиданите прозоречни отвори от север и на апсидата се възстановяват. На всички прозоречни отвори, ще се монтира дървена дограма със стъклопакет по образец на съществуващате останки от старата дървена дограма запазена по зазиданите отвори. Металните врати от запад и юг се заменят с масивни дъбови такива. Металните решетки по прозорците също ще се реставрират.
В интериора се предвижда направата на нова вътрешна мазилка с добавени фибри, върху рабицова или армираща стъклотекстилна мрежа, под коята ще се положи нова електроинсталация.
По пода ще се изпълни настилка от правоъгълни каменни плочи от врачански варовик. Около църквата също ще бъдат изпълнени тротоарни алеи от неправилни каменни плочи. Превижда се и ново изписване на храма.
