Nikolay Kostov is registered as a farmer, a natural person under Ordinance №3 of January 29, 1999 on the establishment and maintenance of a register of farmers, and his first registration was on October 18, 2021. The candidate is engaged in the cultivation of 109 . bee families in a livestock farm with №9156-0036, located in a plot of land in a forest area, on the land of the village of Zornitsa, municipality. Aksakovo, region Varna. The property in which the bee families are kept has been taken away with a contract for a gratuitous right of use for a period of 10 years. The farm falls within a protected area under NATURA 2000.
The strategy for the development of the farm is to continue the current activity with the breeding of bee families. The planned increase of the farm will be achieved with 71 bee families. The applicant will improve the mechanization of his farm by purchasing an intelligent monitoring system for hives, which will provide information about the health of bee colonies and thus increase security and productivity in the apiary. As a result, the objectives set in the project will be met and the activity on the farm will be supported.
