The applicant's agricultural holding is located in the land of the village of Govedare commune. Pazardzhik, region Pazardzhik. The farm is animal breeding, raising snails in the open. Certificate for registration of animal breeding object No. 107/23.12.2022 VetIS with veterinary registration number 4453-0207. It falls into a nitrate-vulnerable zone. It does not fall within the boundaries of protected areas within the meaning of the Law on Protected Areas, as well as within the boundaries of protected areas within the meaning of the Law on Biological Diversity. The land is not in danger of erosion. The livestock facility is located on one property. The total area of the property is 5,835 decares, of which a total of 3,435 decares / 2,400 m2 can be used for snail farming and 1,035 decares of fallow land on which the livestock facility and auxiliary areas for animal husbandry will be expanded. At this stage, the applicant manages the animal husbandry alone with the help of the household members. He does not own his own equipment. Performs the necessary zootechnical and veterinary measures in a timely manner. The snails are grown according to the French method of cultivation, which is suitable for our latitudes. The French method is more cost-effective in terms of the number of snails and the duration of cultivation. A temperature of around 24-26C is needed. Then the air is not too dry and there is enough humidity. If the temperature is higher, above 30C, the snail experiences discomfort, because then the humidity is lower and more water is needed. To build a snail farm, you need not only an area that is forested with a certain type of grass, but also an irrigation system that is used daily.
