At the time of application, Stoycho Stoychev kept 109 bee families on his farm in an apiary located on the land of the village of Svoboda, Chirpan municipality, Stara Zagora district. For the management of the property in which the apiary is located, the applicant has a long-term lease agreement. The reared bee families are of the Bulgarian honey bee breed, the breeding technology is Dadan Blat and multi-hull. The livestock farm is entered in the register of livestock farms of the Regional Directorate of Food Safety - Stara Zagora, meets the veterinary requirements, the certificate of registration of the apiary is issued on the basis of Art. 137, para. 6 of the Law for the veterinary medical activity. The apiary is registered with an identification number, according to the requirements of the Law on Veterinary Medical Activity and Ordinance 10/2015 on the conditions for registration and the procedure for identification of bee families. The maintenance of the available number of families in the apiary is done through own breeding activity. The owner regularly keeps the veterinary diary of the apiary, reflecting the results of the main spring and autumn inspections of bee colonies.
