The project proposal is aimed at the purchase of two irrigation systems for growing sweet corn, together with a pump set. The areas included in the project proposal are certified according to the organic production rules and the applicant appears in the register for organic producers with the crops declared in the project proposal (sweet corn, as "other vegetables", according to the instructions to the table for calculating the SPO). The irrigation system is mobile, which is why it can be used within the areas included in the business plan by moving, thus with a smaller investment, the production efficiency of larger areas will be achieved. Also, depending on the irrigation needs in the different parts of the array, greater efficiency can be achieved with less water consumption. Water savings have been calculated by a competent person in annexes to the project proposal Engineering design. The areas included in the application for assistance fall within the scope of irrigated areas before 2007, as can be seen from the public inquiry module on the electronic website of Irrigation Systems EAD, including that until now irrigation has been carried out on various parts of the applicant's farm, using water supplied from a branch of Irrigation Systems on the basis of contracts concluded for previous years. The water intake point is equipped with a measuring device (water meter). The same is specified both in the Engineering Project and in the attached contract with Irrigation Systems EAD.
With the implementation of the investment, production in the applicant's farm will be more efficient; the investment and activities are aimed at protecting the environmental components through more efficient use of water resources, including those related to dealing with climate change.
