The farmer Velmar Agro EOOD operates within the territory of the Municipality of General Toshevo. They cultivate land in the villages of Rozina, Preselentsi, Pisarovo, Lyulyakovo, Loznitsa and General Toshevo. During the previous business year the company did not cultivate agricultural land, it realized revenues from the purchase and processing of lavender and yarrow.
The only shareowner of the company, the candidate, operates as a farmer that cultivates land in Lyulyakovo, General Toshevo and Balchik, as he grew in corn for grain and yarrow in 2021/2022.
Due to the collapse of the prices of essential oils in 2020 and 2021, caused by market oversaturation, and due to the low purchase prices of lavender / green mass /, rising production costs and overproduction at the national level, the company restructured its activities and in the current business year it is set to the produce corn and sunflower.
The main objective in this project proposal is the purchase of a tractor LS XP101. The company will ensure timely and quality agrotechnical activities that way, as currently the farm does not have agricultural machinery and equipment and subcontracts the following processing to an external party.
This investment will improve the activities of the farm related to the production of cereals and oilseeds via investing in agricultural machinery and as a result it will increase its competitiveness.
