With this project proposal, we plan to clean the bed of the Trigradska river from waste with the participation of volunteers.
On 12.12.2021 The village of Trigrad was struck by a natural disaster when, as a result of heavy rains combined with active snowmelt, the bed of the Trigradska river overflowed and destroyed the road to Trigrad in many places. In addition, as a result of the natural disaster, the banks of the Trigradska River were strewn with huge amounts of household waste of all kinds - nylons, tires, textiles, glass, plastic and others. Much of the debris was embedded in coastal brush and low vegetation, making it impossible to clean it up without undercutting the low vegetation.
On 17.04.2022 in Trigrad, a volunteer initiative was carried out to clean the Tragradska River, and within one day a section of the river was cleaned on only one bank, about one kilometer long. During the clean-up, only garbage found on the ground was removed, but not the garbage that was woven into the bushes and other low vegetation due to the lack of possibility to remove them without special tools and equipment. More than 5 tons of trash were collected during this cleanup.
The project of the "Future for Trigrad" association envisages cleaning the banks on both sides of the Trigradska River, in the area from the "Devil's Throat" cave to the village of Zhrebovo, including the branch of the Trigradska River, which branches off at the "Shutia Most" area in the section to village of Vodni pad.
The distance that is planned to be cleaned is within 11 km. in one direction, i.e. the total distance to be cleaned is about 22 km.
Given the above, it was concluded that the amount of garbage that will be collected during the implementation of the project for cleaning the Trigradska River is 60 tons.

Закупуване на пособия и инвентар за осъществяване на почистване, извозване и депониране на отпадъци от река Триградска.: Дейността включва почистване на бреговете от двете страни на река Триградска, в района от пещера „Дяволско гърло“ до с.Жребово, включително ръкава на река Триградска , който се разклонява при местност „Шутия мост“ в участъка до с.Водни пад с общо разстояние от 22 км. Почистването ще се осъществи от доброволчески групи, за които ще бъдат осигурени необходимите пособия. За закупуването на пособията ще се проведе процедура за избор на изпълнител, който или които ще доставят необходимите материали ии пособия за извършване на почистването. Необходимите средства за материли и извозване на отпадъците са непосилни за сдружението, за което се наложи да поискаме съгласувеане с РИОСВ и Басейнова дирекция на дейностите по почистване и се надяваме да получим финансиране на проекта, чрез който ще почистим един сериозен участък от реката, като по този начин ще помогнем на природата да се възстанови от последиците от наводненията през миналат година и да направи привлекателно място за развитие на туризъм и отдих. Района около Триград е изцяло зависим от туризма и ако това не бъде извършвено, ще доведе до отлив от туристи, а от там до загуба на работна ръка, обезлюдяване и затваряне на бизнеси. От друга страна проекта изцяло отговаря на целите на мярката.
