The project proposal envisages the construction of a street lighting system using solar power in Alfatar Municipality - Alfatar, with the replacement of existing street lighting with LEDs with high energy and operational efficiency.
According to the assignment in the town of Alfatar will be used part of the existing settlement street electric wiring network. Some luminaires will be mounted on existing pillars - along with other users' power lines. There are also wired sections.
Street lighting is one of the largest cost points in many cities around the world, but it is felt especially in smaller settlements. Alternative solar, street lighting (powered by an independent renewable source) can be economical in many ways:
 - It is not necessary to lay cables and connect to the mains.
 - Daytime solar energy is used to charge self-service rechargeable batteries, and night-time lighting is based on energy accumulated during the day.
 - Charge control and power usage are monitored by a microprocessor controller that prevents recharging and discharging batteries.
 - Solar street lamps are characterized by high light performance and easy and quick installation.

In the town of Alfatar there will be 287 autonomous light modules with a height of the 5.5 meter illumination mounted on 287 conical metal ladders with a height of 6.0 meters and replacing 54 of the existing street lighting with high energy LEDs operational efficiency.
