Description

The Community-Led Local Development Strategy of the Local Action Group “Peshtera–Bratsigovo” is a planning document aimed at contributing to the reduction of economic and social disparities in the development of the territory through targeted financial support. This support focuses on preserving the territory’s unique characteristics and addressing various local challenges, based on the specific needs and potential of the area. The strategy complements national, regional, and local policies. It seeks to build upon the strengths of the municipalities of Peshtera and Bratsigovo in the social, environmental, and economic domains by adapting policies to reflect the real needs and capabilities of the territory.
Following the analysis of the area's strengths and weaknesses, the identified needs and problems, as well as the development opportunities and local potential, the following vision was established:
“The territory of LAG Peshtera–Bratsigovo – an attractive place for innovation and business, a developed tourist and cultural center, and a preferred area for living and working. A region where people from different ethnic and cultural backgrounds live and work together in harmony.”
The strategy of “LAG Peshtera–Bratsigovo” is aligned with the adopted vision, priorities, and objectives that frame the implementation of the Integrated Territorial Strategy for the South Central Region:
“South Central Region – an attractive place for living, business, and tourism, with improved conditions for connectivity and preserved natural and cultural heritage.”
