The project proposal is prepared in connection of procedure No. BG06AFSP001-01.001 under intervention II.J.5 "Implementation of operations, including cooperation activities and their preparation, selected under the local development strategy" of the Strategic Plan for the Development of Agriculture and Rural Areas of the Republic of Bulgaria for the period 2023-2027. The project envisages the implementation of operations, including cooperation activities and their preparation, selected under the Community-Led Local Development Strategy /CLLD/ of Local initiative group (LIG) – Knezha. The CLLD Strategy for the period 2021-2027 has been prepared in implementation of the project "Preparatory activities for the preparation of a strategy for the implementation of the CLLD approach on the territory of LIG Knezha" in connection with the concluded Administrative Agreement No. RD 50-109/30.03.2023 for the provision of grant assistance under sub-measure 19.1 "Assistance for preparatory activities" of measure 19 "CLLD" of the Rural Development Program (RDP) 2014-2020. The CLLD strategy was developed on the basis of conducted studies and analyses of the territory, based on the potential and identified development needs of the area. As a result of the studies carried out, the strategy is fully consistent with the natural-geographical, socio-economic and cultural-historical characteristics of the territory and the available human capacity. The CLLD strategy is aimed at sustainable development of the territory of the LIG-Knezha, through diversification of economic activities, protection of nature and rural areas, development of high-quality services that meet the needs and expectations of local people.
