Programme: Maritime, Fisheries and Aquaculture Programme for Bulgaria

The project aims at sustainable development of the fisheries area, stimulating the blue economy through integrated resource management, social inclusion and economic diversification.
The local development strategy aims to achieve a balance between the economic growth of the blue economy, fisheries and tourism sectors and the sustainable protection of the natural and cultural environment. It encourages active community participation and applies a holistic approach with a view to the future of the territory. In addition, the strategy is synchronized with national and European initiatives of common interest that define priorities for intervention in dynamic development areas.
Contribution to Horizontal Objectives at EU level and detailed justification for achieving their objectives:

Through the joint efforts of local authorities, the non-governmental sector and business representatives, the CLLD strategy of the Primorsko-Tsarevo FLAG not only contributes to the sustainable development of the fishing territory, but is also synchronized with key local and regional development plans. The result of this is a strategic cooperation that guarantees the long-term success of integrated actions for the social and economic well-being of the local community. The logical connection of the R&A sector with the other economic sectors of the territory, including tourism, is a key point of the strategy. This integration is in line with the objectives of the regional plans, which emphasize sustainable development and improving the quality of life in the municipalities.
