The project proposal envisages the implementation of high-efficiency equipment - an industrial chiller and compressor - at the production facility of IDAN GDI Ltd., whose main activity falls under NACE code 22.22 “Manufacture of plastic packing goods.” The investment will be carried out on the company’s premises in the town of Yablanitsa, with the aim of improving energy efficiency, increasing the sustainability of production processes, and reducing the carbon footprint. The production activity is characterized by high energy consumption due to the intensive use of compressed air systems and thermal regulation of production equipment. The existing equipment is morally and technically outdated, with high energy intensity and low efficiency. The new chiller and compressor are of a high energy class, with lower electricity consumption and modern control systems, allowing adaptation to actual load and optimized energy use. The implementation of the project will contribute to reducing peak energy consumption, enhancing energy autonomy, limiting carbon emissions, and achieving more efficient energy resource management. The expected outcomes include improved energy efficiency, stabilization of production costs, and increased competitiveness through a sustainable and flexible energy infrastructure. The project complies with the "do no significant harm" principle to the environment and aligns with national and European objectives for the energy transition, climate neutrality, and the expansion of sustainable energy technologies.
