Description

“AMEK TOYS” OOD is a leading Bulgarian manufacturer of plush toys with an established brand and growing international presence. The production process is electricity-intensive, with main energy consumers including sewing and embroidery machines, compressors, HVAC systems, and lighting. The company already operates a photovoltaic power plant exceeding 200 kW, which supplies a significant share of its energy needs; however the storage will facilitate the utilization of the generated power.

The project foresees the purchase and installation of local battery energy storage systems (BESS) with inverters – 110 kW, designed to work in synergy with the existing PV plant. The goal is to maximize self-consumption of renewable energy, reduce peak loads, and stabilize production processes. The investment will enable shifting midday solar surpluses to morning and afternoon consumption, improving overall energy efficiency and reducing dependence on the grid.

Expected results include:

- increase in self-consumed renewable energy;
- reduction in electricity costs;
- reduced CO₂ emissions;
- greater production stability and lower technological losses.

The investment is fully aligned with the objectives of Procedure BG16RFPR001-2.004, supporting energy efficiency, increased use of renewables, and sustainable industrial competitiveness.
