Description

The project proposal of GIP EOOD envisages the construction of a photovoltaic power plant with an installed capacity of 42.30 kWp (AC power 36 kW) for the production of electricity for own consumption, combined with a two-component storage system with a total capacity of 84 kWh, for the production facility in the village of Mechka, Ruse region.
The company is an established manufacturer of antifreeze, windscreen washer fluid, fuel additives and car cosmetics with over 20 years of experience in the chemical industry. The production activity is extremely energy-intensive due to continuously operating pumps, mixers, heating/cooling systems, AdBlue production through reverse osmosis, and automatic filling lines. The energy crisis and multiple price increases pose a threat to profitability in a market with low margins and high competition. The lack of own energy infrastructure limits autonomy and creates a competitive disadvantage with customers with ESG requirements.
The planned PV plant will produce around 44 MWh per year, covering 100% of the needs. The 84 kWh battery system (63 kWh integrated + 21 kWh additional) provides 7-9 hours of autonomy in case of emergencies, full coverage of night-time consumption and 85-90% energy utilisation.
The main benefits: complete energy independence; security and protection of critical processes; significant savings; competitive advantages through ESG positioning; reduction of CO₂ emissions; long-term sustainability with 25+ years of production.
The investment is fully in line with the objectives of the procedure for improving energy efficiency and transitioning to climate neutrality.
