Brief Description of the Project Proposal The project aims to construct a 18 kWp photovoltaic power plant on the grounds of the company’s production facility, with the objective of reducing electricity costs and improving competitiveness on foreign markets. As a 100% export-oriented producer, the company faces high energy costs from the free market, which significantly affect production prices. The introduction of an own renewable energy source will ensure stable, low-cost electricity, reduce dependence on external suppliers, and directly increase the competitiveness of Bulgarian products abroad. The company is currently in a phase of technological modernization and expansion, including increasing seed storage capacity and upgrading processing, packaging, and fumigation equipment. However, limited financial resources require gradual investment. The solar installation represents a strategic first step toward sustainable modernization, allowing the enterprise to redirect future savings into production improvements. The planned system will be ground-mounted within the existing 20 m × 3 m area along the site fence, consisting of two rows of south-oriented photovoltaic panels connected to the internal electrical network. It will double the current available power supply (from 14.5 kW to nearly 30 kW), covering a substantial part of the energy needs of the workshop. Target groups: the company’s employees and customers, benefiting from improved production stability and competitiveness. Expected results: reduced energy costs, increased energy independence, higher productivity, and lower carbon footprint. Main activities: technical design, procurement and installation of PV equipment for providing for selfsufficiant consumption only.
