Description

Color Glass OOD is a leading company with over 25 years of experience in the glass industry. The company operates a large production facility and specializes in printed glass, bent and tempered glass, which require significant energy resources for thermal processing. The sector is highly energy-intensive, with electricity costs being a key factor in production costs. Rising energy prices and peak loads create a substantial burden on operational sustainability.

To address these challenges, the company plans to build a photovoltaic power plant with a capacity of 55 kW on its own property. The investment will ensure self-production of electricity, covering 15–20% of the facility’s needs. The expected annual output is 71,500 kWh, generating respective financial savings. This will reduce dependence on the external grid and volatile prices, improving predictability and production efficiency.

The project effects include: economic – reduction of costs and freeing resources for innovation; energy – higher share of renewable energy and reduced external consumption; environmental – reduction of CO₂ emissions; social – more stable production environment and better working conditions. The shorter payback period with grant support ensures financial sustainability. The investment will strengthen the competitiveness and image of Color Glass OOD. as a responsible manufacturer applying green technologies.
