Description

P Water envisages investments focused on agglomerations above 10 000 e.i. aiming at implementation of the commitments resulting from Directive 91/271 EEC and Directive 98/83 EC, in compliance with the National investment plan for Water supply and sewerage (WSS) sector, unlocking condition for the sector and in this regard the Programme envisages implementation of activities financed basically through grants under PE 2021-2027, however it is required the WSS operators to provide the necessary co- financing for implementation of the projects which will be approved for grant financing. It is envisaged the co- financing to be covered through financial instruments (combination of grant and financial instrument in two operations). The financial instrument could support the final beneficiaries in providing the financial means for expenditures eligible to be supported through financial instruments under PE 2021 - 2027 through loans under the conditions of article 58(4), Regulation 1060/2021 and in compliance with the state aid rules.
