Programme: Recovery and Resilience Plan

The project "Creation and distribution of a short documentary film "Gelina" focuses on the creation and distribution in the EU of a documentary production dedicated to the unique custom of the Pomak wedding in the Bulgarian village of Ribnovo. 
The film will present visually and emotionally the richness of this authentic tradition, capturing in detail not only the ritual itself but also its cultural, social, and spiritual significance for the local community. 
The story unfolds through the lens of a photographer who travels to the isolated Rhodope Mountains to capture the symbolism and mystery of wedding rituals.
The main activities of the project include the engagement of experienced specialists to guarantee the authenticity of the presented culture, as well as the presentation of the production in an established cultural space - the "Horta" gallery in Brussels. 
Professionals in the field of film content creation and audiovisual production will be employed, which will ensure the high quality of footage and sound recordings. 
The film will also be equipped with appropriate subtitles and accessibility materials, ensuring its distribution within the EU.
To promote the film, investments are planned in online and specialized channels, which will focus on reaching a wide and multilingual audience.
The strong team of proven specialists and the participation of representatives of the local community will guarantee authenticity and professionalism in the making of the film. 
The main goals of the project are the promotion and preservation of the cultural heritage of the Pomash community, raising cultural awareness, and strengthening cultural diversity in the EU.
