"Lomski Rhythms: Dances and Customs from the Balkans" is a captivating cultural production created by the Gorny Lom Dance Ensemble, transporting audiences into the enchanting world of Bulgarian folklore. This performance combines dance, music, and reenactments of customs inspired by the traditions of Gorny Lom and its surrounding region.  
Key Highlights of the Program:
The ensemble presents dynamic choreographies based on the authentic rhythms and steps characteristic of the Northwestern Balkans, including traditional dances such as "Torlashka Kopanitsa," "Elenino Horo," and "Svornato."  
The program also features dances depicting scenes from rural life, such as harvest dances, wedding horos, and festive games. The focus is on movements unique to the region, accompanied by expressive choreography that tells stories of hard work, love, and joy.  
Music is an integral part of the performance, played on traditional instruments such as the bagpipe, kaval, tupan, and gadulka.  
The melodies range from slow and melancholic to lively and joyful, creating an immersive experience for the audience. Songs in the program include "Tragnala e Malka Moma," "Myatalo Lenche Yabulka," "Ya Doidi Libe i Stoyane Sine," "Stoyane" and others.  
The dancers and musicians wear traditional costumes from the region, adorned with embroidery and ornaments that reflect the cultural richness of Gorny Lom. The stage design recreates the atmosphere of rural life, showcasing the harmony between nature, home, and traditional customs.  
Between performances, the hosts share brief stories and legends about Gorny Lom, the Balkans, and their traditions. Audience members are invited to join in traditional horos under the guidance of the dancers.The performance will be recorded by a professional team using high-quality equipment, capturing every detail—from the expressive movements of the dancers to the vibrant colors of the costumes and stage design.
