Implementation of the "GREENBEAT" project within the HORIZON-WIDERA-2021-ACCESS-03-01 EU HORIZON-WIDERA-2021-ACCESS-03-01 call  within the HORIZON Europe framework programme, evaluated and awarded a high total score "above the thresholds".

The mission of GREENBEAT is to contribute to the objectives of the European Green deal by laying foundations for environmentally conscious and sustainable research and innovation approach in the higher education sector. The vision is to foster and accelerate high quality research in the area of Sustainable Future Communication Networks and Technologies, with an emphasis on technologies for connected intelligence, trustworthiness and green business model innovation as key enablers. GREENBEAT aims to foster and accelerate research in the area of connected intelligence, trustworthiness and green business model innovation as enablers of Sustainable Future Communication Networks. The proposal builds on the scientific expertise of the consortium in the area of wireless communication technologies and security, green business model innovation and knowledge transfer to foster holistic research skills, accelerate tech and knowledge transfer progress, and enhance the quality and span of academic and research collaboration at the Faculty of Telecommunications at TUS as the main beneficiary. GREENBEAT will act on a ‘learning by doing’ principle and the sharing of best practices to: i) Support research that embraces disruptive digital technologies in the design of future communication networks; ii)Train and educate researchers to identify and unlock the value of these technologies in the context of sustainability through business model innovation design and experimentation; iii) Strengthen innovation capacity by means of orchestrating and implementing an efficient knowledge and tech transfer process, which will get research and expertise put to use, creating a wide spectrum of impacts.
