The project "Chitalishte "Hristo Botev -1892 " an attractive place for cultural tourism in the town of Belene" provides several activities separated as two separate sites. The first site is "Placing a bas-relief of Hristo Botev on the facade of the National Chitalishte " Hristo Botev 1892 " to the right of the main entrance of a building with ID 03366.602.194.2 Belene and extension of the site, a new staircase and repair of a music room." The main activities are related to the expansion of the site in front of the building, walling the window of the current music room, building a new staircase and foundation for the bas-relief of Hristo Botev, which was made in 2017 thanks to a donation campaign and its installation on the facade of the building. The walling up the window of the current music room makes it unusable because it is left without natural light. For this reason, the project for this site envisages renovation of the next room so that it can be used as a music room, where people of different ages can develop their singing and musical skills, as well as singing amateur groups to do their rehearsals. The second site included in the project is "Production of delivery and installation of stage curtains and lighting equipment for the stage of the Chitalishte " Hristo Botev 1892 " Belene. Stage curtains and lighting equipment have not been replaced since they were installed when the building was opened in 1965. After more than 56 years of use, they are not only obsolete, but despite the efforts of management and staff of the Chitalishte to maintain them, pose a danger to people. using the stage.The replacement of the stage curtains and lighting will make the stage safer and more beautiful, but above all it will allow its full use in the performances of folklore ensembles and amateur theater ensembles, as well as for those organized by the Comunity centre.
