The main goal of the current investment project is technological modernization and automation of production processes, through the implementation of innovative and modern technologies with the aim of increasing the competitiveness of the activity and sustainable and digital economic recovery. The applicant for the current project is a farmer who grows agricultural produce on a little more than 24,000 decares of his own and leased land. For the implementation of this project, the applicant will set aside a minimum of 5,000 acres of this land, on which only sunflowers will be grown. In the last few years, the applicant has mainly been engaged in the cultivation of cereals for the purpose of sale, and calibration and cleaning activities of own and foreign raw materials have been carried out. With the implementation of the current project based on market research on the demand for peeled sunflower, the applicant intends to resume the sunflower peeling activity, for this purpose the existing lines need to be modernized. The applicant owns two workshops (Workshop 1 and Workshop 2) for peeling seeds and most of the necessary technological equipment, in which it will mainly process its own production. In order to better use the factors of production, it is planned to purchase innovative automated machines that will complement or replace part of the existing equipment in the automated production lines for sunflower processing, in order to improve the quality of the finished product. Planned for purchase are: X-ray scanner (x-ray) - 1 pc. and Trior (Segmented toothed cylinder) – 1 pc. for a sunflower peeling line in Workshop 1 and a grain cleaning machine – 1 pc. for the sunflower peeling line in Workshop 2. The annual capacity of Workshop 1 is 1750 tons of bleached sunflower, and of Workshop 2 is 886 tons of bleached sunflower. Thus, the total annual capacity of the enterprise is 2,636 tons of white sunflower.
