Description

"Community-led local development" is an approach for the participation of partners at the local level, including civil society and local business, in the development and implementation of local integrated strategies that respond to the social, environmental and economic challenges of the territory and, through financial investments, have an impact on people's lives, generate new ideas and shared responsibility for their implementation in practice, and help transition to a more sustainable future. The project proposal is aimed at implementing a strategy that will contribute to:
- Improving living conditions in the territory;
- Developing horizontal and cross-sector partnerships for initiatives of common interest, as well as practices and models for good governance and participation of stakeholders in the development of the territory;
- Supporting territorial identity, marketing based on the specific territorial potential and products of local character;
- Increasing the competitiveness of local economies and opportunities for creating local businesses, including through diversification and support for alternative activities;
- Supporting the introduction of innovations;
- Introduction of modern technologies through support for innovation in enterprises;
- Promotion of sustainable and quality employment and social inclusion of vulnerable and marginalized groups;
- Preservation and protection of the environment and promotion of resource efficiency, including activities to use the potential of cultural heritage.
Through the implementation of the CLLD Strategy, it is planned to finance projects that meet local needs, create and maintain employment for the local population, slow down and neutralize the process of depopulation of settlements, through which better economic, social and environmental living conditions are created, the multi-sectoral development of local economies is supported and they are beneficial to small local businesses.
