The project proposal is a Strategy for Community-Led Local Development (CLLD), which envisions a set of interventions aimed at achieving sustainable economic growth in the area.
The interventions have been selected in accordance with the characteristics of the territory of the LAG, the trends in its socio-economic development, and the needs and attitudes of stakeholders.
The strategy includes measures for:
- the development and modernization of agricultural holdings,
- the development and modernization of agricultural product processing,
-the development and modernization of non-agricultural economic activities,
- the development of basic services and the modernization of small-scale infrastructure,
- digitization, preservation and enhancement of cultural life, historical and natural heritage,
-social inclusion,
and cooperation between local action groups from Bulgaria and abroad.
Priority is given to activities aligned with the adopted Smart Villages concept for the territory of LAG Tervel-Krushari.
Activities are also planned for the management, monitoring, and promotion of the CLLD Strategy.
The interventions selected to ensure sustainable economic growth in the territory of LAG Tervel-Krushari are funded through the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD).
To achieve complementary and synergistic effects—and in line with the territory's characteristics, development trends, and stakeholder needs—additional measures will be implemented through co-financing from the Human Resources Development Programme 2021–2027 (HRDP) and the Environment Programme 2021–2027 (EP).
The co-financed measures address the needs of vulnerable groups (HRDP) and issues related to increasing community interest in waste utilization and resource use, as well as biodiversity conservation in the area.
