The CLLD Strategy was prepared by the LAG Byala Slatina together with the local community and considers the needs and potential of the territory, while formulating development objectives, tasks and planned implementation actions.The project for the implementation of the CLLD Strategy 2023–2027 programming period will contribute to the integrated sustainable local development, create new jobs, new local products and services, with higher quality, more efficient infrastructure and social capital. With the implementation of the measures and interventions envisaged in the CLLD Strategy, added value will be generated in the territory of the LAG Byala Slatina in governance, social capital, poverty reduction and social exclusion, promotion of entrepreneurship, inclusion of young people in community activities and capacity building. The LEADER approach has been implemented in the territory of the LAG Byala Slatina since 2009. The LAG was established as a result of a implemented project "Acquisition of skills and achievement of public activity of a potential LAG on the territory of the Municipality of Byala Slatina", the beneficiary of which was the Municipality of Byala Slatina under a project financed under sub-measure 431-2 under axis 4 Leader of the RDP 2007-2013 through DBFP RD50-375/28.12.2009. During the 2014-2020, a very good capacity was built to implement the approach through the implementation of a multi-fund CLLD Strategy, prepared within the framework of Contract RD50-80/17.08.2016 and financed under Agreement RD50-29/16.04.2018.For the period 2023-2027, the Strategy has been developed on the basis of conducted studies and analyses of the territory, based on the potential and identified needs for development of the area. The Strategy is based on a thorough and comprehensive analysis of the territory and is in harmony with the natural-geographical, socio-economic and cultural-historical characteristics of the same, as well as with the available human resources.
