The project proposal is aimed at implementing the Community-Led Local Development (CLLD) Strategy of the Local Action Group (LAG) Momchilgrad – Krumovgrad. The activities are directed toward achieving the strategic goals and ensuring sustainable socio-economic development in the region. The strategy has been developed through a transparent and inclusive process, based on the bottom-up approach, with active involvement of local stakeholders. The project aligns with the priorities of the Strategic Plan for Rural Development 2023–2027. Planned activities include organizational and administrative management of the strategy, coordination of the procedures for project application, evaluation, and approval, consulting of applicants, monitoring, and reporting. Publicity activities are also envisaged, aimed at promoting the strategic priorities and results, raising awareness, and encouraging participation of the local community, potential beneficiaries, and other stakeholders. The project scope also includes the development of cooperation with other LAGs through joint initiatives and the exchange of best practices. Within the CLLD framework, projects addressing local needs and potential will be funded, focusing on improving the living environment and quality of life, developing human capital, promoting social inclusion, and preserving natural and cultural heritage. To strengthen the local economy and create sustainable employment, support is planned for investments in sustainable agriculture, development of value-added processing activities, promotion of innovative solutions, and expansion of economic activity in non-agricultural sectors. The expected outcome of the strategy’s implementation is an improved standard of living, revitalization of the local economy, and the creation of a competitive and sustainable territory with a better living environment, preserved natural resources, encouraged innovation, and strengthened local capacity for governance and development.
