The essence of the project is the implementation of a CLLD strategy on the territory of the LAG "Kotel, Sliven and Varbitsa", the scope of which includes the entire territory of the municipalities of Kotel and Varbitsa, as well as part of the territory of the municipality of Sliven (16 settlements). The project aims to create better economic, social and environmental living conditions, support the multi-sectoral development of the local economy and slow down and neutralize the process of depopulation of small settlements through the effective implementation of CLLD on the territory of the LAG "Kotel, Sliven and Varbitsa" for the period 2023-2027. The strategy will be financed by the EAFRD and with complementary financing from the ERDF and ESF+, through the following programs: • Program "Competitiveness and Innovation in Enterprises" 2021-2027; • Program "Human Resources Development" 2021-2027. To achieve this goal, a package of activities will be implemented, including: 1. Implementation of operations under the SVOMR: • Conducting receptions, evaluation and selection of project proposals under the SVOMR measures; • Conclusion of contracts with the approved beneficiaries and monitoring of the implementation of the projects. 2. Cooperation activities and their preparation: • Development of joint projects for intra-territorial and transnational cooperation; • Implementation of initiatives for the development of horizontal and intersectoral partnerships. 3. Management, monitoring, evaluation and promotion of the SVOMR: • Ensuring administrative capacity for managing the Strategy. The result of the project will be: • Successfully implemented SVOMR of the LAG "Kotel, Sliven and Varbitsa"; • Improvement of living conditions on the territory of local communities; • Creation of a dynamic living environment and improvement of the quality of life; • Increasing the competitiveness of local economies and opportunities for creating local businesses.
