The project proposal "LOCAL POTENTIAL IN ACTION-SUPPORT, DEVELOP, STAY" is for the implementation of the CLLD Strategy of the "LAG Harmanli" association, to be implemented at the level of the Harmanli Municipality (rural area, according to Annex No. 2 of the Council of Ministers No. 494, which has continuous borders).The territory has a population of 24,529 inhabitants as of 31.12.2020 according to data from the National Statistical Institute.The strategy was developed for the period until 31.12.2027.As a result of the extensive information campaign conducted among the population, the current CLLD includes clear and specific proposals from the local community. This guarantees the application of the "bottom-up" principle, as representatives of all key sectors and groups from the territory were involved in the process. The measures selected in the strategy correspond to the needs identified in the study and analysis of the territory. The 7 measures selected in the CLLD Strategy and the activities related to them, including cooperation, are in line with Regulation (EU)2021/1060 and Regulation (EU)2021/2115 and lead to the achievement of the objectives of the SPRD.The CLLD Strategy is fully aligned with the objectives, priorities and logic of the Integrated Territorial Strategy for the Development of the South Central Region. The planned interventions and measures under the Strategy contribute to the implementation of the leading strategic priorities of the South Central Region in the period 2021–2027, by integrating them into the framework of regional development, through a focus on innovation, sustainable agriculture, green transformation, social inclusion and support for vulnerable groups.In addition, the strategy includes complementary funding from the Education Programme 2021 - 2027 and the Environment Programme 2021 - 2027.The CLLD Strategy builds on the Local Development Strategies successfully implemented by the LAG under the RDP 2007 - 2013 and RDP 2014 - 2020.
