The project proposal provides for the implementation of the Community-Led Local Development Strategy (CLLD Strategy) of LAG "Radomir-Zemen" for 2023–2027, funded by the Strategic Plan for the Development of Agriculture and Rural Areas (SPRAR) 2023–2027 (EAFRD). The Strategy covers all settlements in the municipalities of Radomir and Zemen, with a total area of 789.11 sq. km and a population of 21,290. The strategic framework includes four specific objectives grouped under three priorities, aimed at achieving the overall goal: Sustainable, smart, and innovative socio-economic development of the LAG Radomir-Zemen territory through a competitive economy, quality employment and social inclusion, improved living conditions, territorial identity, preserved heritage, and environment. Complementary funding is planned from the Human Resources Development Programme 2021–2027 (ESF+) and the Environment Programme 2021–2027 (ERDF), enhancing the strategy’s potential for social and environmental impact. The Strategy will support projects that address local needs, create and maintain jobs, and benefit local small businesses. It promotes better socio-economic and environmental conditions, multi-sectoral development, and limits depopulation. The financial plan under the EAFRD amounts to BGN 5,867,400. The project builds on the successful implementation of the previous CLLD Strategy (2014–2020) and was developed with active involvement of the local community through public consultations, surveys, and stakeholder input. The Strategy sets measurable results and includes mechanisms for sustainable implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
