This Strategy was developed using the "CLID" approach and is based on characteristics of the territory of the municipalities of Kostinbrod and Svoge.The document was drafted based on local needs and potential, derived as a result of the socio-economic studies and consultations with stakeholders.During the meetings and discussions, some of the main issues raised were related to the most important problems and needs of the territory, and the priorities that the Strategy should focus on, so as to address the identified weaknesses. The goals and priorities for the development of the Kostinbrod-Svoge LAG are defined based on the opinions and proposals of stakeholders, according to whom the future should be directed towards the formation of integrated local development policies, focused on three priority areas: infrastructure development; diversification and competitiveness of the local economy by stimulating entrepreneurship, new productions, services, introduction of innovations, technologies and digitalization, opportunities for human resources development; and improving the quality of the environment and life on the territory of the LAG through the implementation of smart solutions.The planned measures and sources of funding are consistent with the real capabilities of the LAG to continue and build on the implemented 2014-2020 SVOMR, by combining and using wisely all available resources - human, natural, financial and administrative, and responding to the needs and problems of the local community to achieve maximum efficiency in the development of the target municipalities.The CLLD Strategy corresponds to, complements and does not contradict the Integrated Territorial Development Strategy for the South-West Planning Region of Level 2, in whose area the Kostinbrod - Svoge LAG is located. The objectives and priorities set out in the CLLD Strategy are harmonized with the National Development Program Bulgaria 2030 and the Updated National Concept for Spatial Development.
