The CLLD Strategy of the "LAG Vetovo - Tsar Kaloyan - Opaka" was developed as a result of the implementation of contract RD 50-44 on 15.03.2023 under sub-measure 19.1 "Assistance for foundation activities" of measure 19 "Community-led local development" of the Rural Development Programme for the period 2014–2020. "LAG Vetovo-Tsar Kaloyan-Opaka" has a territorial scope that coincides with the administrative-territorial borders of the municipalities of Vetovo /from Ruse district/, Tsar Kaloyan /from Razgrad district/ and Opaka /from Targovishte district/ and includes all 15 settlements - 5 towns and 10 villages. The territory of the LAG's operation covers the entire geographical and administrative area of the three neighboring municipalities. The Community-Led Local Development Strategy of the "Local Initiative Group - Vetovo-Tsar Kaloyan-Opaka" is a planning document that aims to contribute to overcoming the economic and social disparities in the development of the territory, through targeted financial support to preserve the specificity of the territory and overcome the existing diverse problems, based on local needs and potential. The policy strategy at national, regional and local levels. It seeks to build on the strengths of the LAG territory in social, environmental and economic terms, by adapting policies to real needs and opportunities. Following the "bottom-up" principle, this strategy has been developed entirely on the basis of local needs and potential, derived as a result of an extensive study and context of the local community, the characteristics and advantages of the territory of the LAG Vetovo - Tsar Kaloyan - Opaka.
