The project proposal aims to improve the quality of life in the territory of LAG Belene-Nikopol by enhancing the competitiveness of agriculture and small and medium-sized enterprises, promoting innovation, and increasing the efficiency of the local economy. It also focuses on boosting employment, improving the quality of the workforce, fostering social inclusion of vulnerable groups, and supporting balanced development through investments in public and social infrastructure. The project also aims to protect the environment, promote resource efficiency, and preserve territorial identity. It targets a broad range of groups: farmers, entrepreneurs, unemployed, youth, women, people in disadvantaged situations, NGOs, local authorities, and all residents in the territory of the LAG. The main objectives are: stimulating economic activity and enhancing competitiveness and technological innovation in agriculture, modernization, and job creation through support for SMEs; promoting social inclusion and improving access to basic services, including through diversification and support for alternative activities; protecting the environment and developing sustainable tourism; supporting territorial identity by preserving cultural and historical heritage; increasing administrative capacity and strengthening local partnerships. The planned activities include the management and coordination of the CLLD strategy, the reception and evaluation of project proposals, information campaigns and trainings, monitoring and internal evaluation, as well as the development of cooperation for the implementation of good practices and management models with the active involvement of stakeholders in the development of the territory. The expected results are improved socio-economic indicators, a higher number of implemented local projects, new job opportunities, increased social engagement of vulnerable groups, and a stronger sense of belonging, initiative, and identity among the local population.
