The project proposal is aimed at the implementation of the Community-Led Local Development Strategy of the Local Action Group "Devin-Smolyan". During the development of the Strategy, an analysis of the socio-economic characteristics of the area was conducted, and extensive consultations with stakeholders were held to address local needs and utilize the potentials of the territory of the two neighboring municipalities. The implementation of the strategy will ensure improved living conditions, social inclusion, economic growth, and sustainable development of the cultural and socio-economic life of the local population. The strategy includes measures and activities aimed at investments in agricultural farms; investments in the processing of agricultural products; investments in non-agricultural sectors of the economy; investments in basic services and small-scale infrastructure; implementation of innovations in SMEs; raising awareness about biodiversity in the territory; raising awareness regarding sustainable consumption, the circular economy, waste monitoring; support for the development of social economy enterprises; active life for older people in retirement age and aging in good health; cooperation and management of the strategy.
