The project proposal aims to implement the Community Led Local Development Strategy (CLLDS) of the LAG - Popovo for the programming period 2023-2027, in accordance with the requirements of procedure BG06AFSP001-01.001. Through the implementation of an integrated set of measures, the strategy builds on the results achieved in the previous periods (SMR 2007-2013 and SMR 2014-2020), aiming to achieve sustainable development, economic activation and social engagement of the territory. The strategic framework was developed with the participation of the local community, representatives of the public, private and civil sectors, who actively contributed to the formulation of a goal, priorities, specific objectives and measures tailored to the specific socio-economic and demographic needs of the territory. The main objective is to implement a holistic and integrated approach to sustainable development at local level, through which economic activity, social engagement and responsible management of natural resources are stimulated. The strategy includes three priorities, each with two specific objectives, implemented through seven measures financed by the EAFRD. The total budget amounts to BGN 5 867 400. Support will focus on projects that create sustainable jobs, improve living conditions and develop local capacity, including through support for agriculture, non-farm activities, tourism, public services and social innovation. This is expected to contribute to population retention, territorial cohesion and smart rural development. An integrated approach and a clear monitoring and evaluation framework will ensure efficiency, transparency and delivery of results in line with the objectives of the grant under the procedure and the intended impacts. Coordination and complementarity is foreseen between the Human Resources Development Programme 2021-2027 and the Environment Programme 2021-2027, in accordance with the PPA 494 of 2024.
