The CLLD Strategy of LAG "Rakovski" has been developed for the period up to December 31, 2027. It is focused and specific, clearly outlining the chosen direction for the municipality’s development and the respective sectors where efforts and the main part of the investments should be primarily concentrated. For this reason, a limited number of key priorities have been identified, reflecting the selected focus and the specific development characteristics of the LAG "Rakovski" territory. The defined goals and priorities of the strategy are aligned with the Integrated Territorial Strategy for the development of the South Central Planning Region for the period 2021–2027, as they cover, complement, and elaborate on the strategic approaches. The goals and priorities set by the CLLD Strategy are in harmony with the National Spatial Development Concept 2013–2025, the "Europe 2030" Strategy, and the National Development Programme "Bulgaria 2030". The development of these goals and priorities is entirely based on the local potential, which has been thoroughly examined through research and territorial analysis. The defined goals and priorities are fully consistent with the regional development policy outlined in the Integrated Municipal Development Plan of Rakovski Municipality 2021–2027. Among the goals and priorities identified in the IMDP for Rakovski Municipality are economic development, promotion of entrepreneurship, tourism, and agriculture, including increasing productivity and competitiveness, fostering innovation and infrastructure improvement, developing digitalization in agriculture, supporting vegetable production, fruit growing, livestock farming, organic agriculture and beekeeping, and encouraging the development of local agricultural enterprises. Last but not least, the CLLD approach is supported as a key driver of development. Social development, addressing infrastructural challenges, and territorial cooperation are also set as priorities.
