ENCORE-6G intends to lay the foundations of strategic networking and collaboration in the area of integrated sensing and communications (ISAC) as a key enabler of an optimized, native design for 6G. The ENCORE-6G alliance provides a collaborative platform for research excellence at pan- European level in ISAC. The main objective of ENCORE-6G is to build a research excellence network for fostering interdisciplinary research and education, strengthening research management and administrative skills and support for excellent research at Technical University of Sofia (TUS) as a Widening country institution in the area of ISAC towards 6G. The complementary knowledge, skills, and expertise of Technische Universitaet Wien (TUW) and Universidad Carlos III Madrid (UC3M) as top-class universities and Silicon Austria Labs (SAL) as a leading research lab, will be leveraged alongside their structured institutional capacity, to turn current TUS weaknesses into strengths. The Beneficiaries will be supported by Associated Partner Research and Development and Innovation Consortium (RDIC). ENCORE-6G will reinforce TUS in its position and develop its scientific, technological, and development-driven management capacities to further evolve as a 6G-related research hub of excellence in Bulgaria and close the research gap within the European Research Area (ERA). The collaboration framework of ENCORE-6G will establish innovative and interdisciplinary approaches to research exploration, capacity building and networking within the area of ISAC as a key enabling technology of societal impact for the evolution towards 6G. TUS is the Coordinating Beneficiary of ENCORE-6G, as a step to build EU-project management capacity.
ENCORE-6G will offer scientific and research management training activities to researchers, including research proposal management and key
transferable skills, while addressing research excellence as a multidimensional concept in the main research area of the project.
