The project is aimed at achieving sustainable development of the Center for Excellence "Heritage BG", created in the period 2018-2023 under project BG05M2OP001-1.001-0001 "Construction and Development of Center for Excellence "Heritage BG".
To achieve sustainable development, three types of activities are planned:
⁃ scientific research, development activities and promotion of their results,
⁃ modernization and/or retrofitting of the already built infrastructure,
⁃ training and mobility of researchers.
The main activities are divided into three groups:
1. effective interaction between science, knowledge transfer and new technologies, especially in the creative and recreational industries;
2. achieving efficiency through interdisciplinarity, shared knowledge and shared work as an integral part of the European scientific complex;
3. creation and sharing of new products and intellectual assets to significantly improve and expand the "science - business - economic benefits - social benefits" interaction.
For the implementation of the activities, a business plan was developed, containing a detailed description, including of:
- work packages;
- modernization/re-equipment of 12 sites from the already available infrastructure.
With its sustainable development, the CoE "Heritage BG" will additionally contribute to:
- the training of a qualified workforce,
- the preparation of teachers and researchers for the educational system and for the institutions of memory,
- continuing training for young scientists and their involvement in R&D,
- the development of new products and services based on ICT and new/improved knowledge about Bulgaria's heritage.
The goal of the project is the transformation of the Bulgarian heritage into a socio-economic resource for the development of the regions through the potential of science, the use of new technologies, the unification of the possibilities of business, non-governmental organizations and local communities.
